Sometimes We Crash

After my first post I received the cutest reprimand from Spencer about forgetting his birthday. I had initially listed his birthday then as I was rearranging things to include Luke & Alex's baptisms the blog monster must have eaten Spencer's birthday. I could never forget Spencer and Alex's birthdays because they are the only members of my November club. Don't ask me what exactly that means. In his reprimand to make up for my "crash" he said I should send him "copious amounts of gifts" on his birthday. I haven't yet looked up what "copious amounts of gifts" means - do you think Webster could help me out with that one? Or if any of you can help me with my illiteracy about copious amounts of gifts I would appreciate it.
Of course I will help Spencer celebrate his birthday (remember it's on November 12) After all it is his first "post college" birthday, his first birthday as Preston's Dad, his first birthday in Layton, his first birthday as Dr. Turner. Wow we have a lot to celebrate.
Can anyone tell me how to send the blog monster into time out for eating Spencer's birthday from my post?

We all crash doing one thing or another. Thank you Spencer for letting me joke around about your sledding crash. It was a lame effort to cover up my "crash" at missing your birth date on the family calendar. But you'll notice in the last picture he survived the crash and hopefully I'll survive my crash as well.

Can you all remember how cold it was the morning we took off to ride snow mobiles at our reunion in the Soda Springs Mountains. After we got back to the lodge and went sledding Spencer took several pictures of the ice crystals that had formed on the weeds. I love these pictures. Thank you Spencer for always sharing your many talents with us. I don't know how I got the writing on the right side of that picture. This blogging stuff is more complicated than I thought it would be. I'm getting better though. You should have seen the mess I made on my first attempt at this write-up and inserting these pictures. Now maybe I'm ready to do our Williamsburg trip - maybe.
